| How to create copy configure Wage Type description | |
| Description | To create new wage type in SAP HR you must copy existing one. SAP HR contains model wage types. If these sample wage types meet some of your company's requirements you can use the wage type copier. You then use these copies as your wage types and can modify them so that they meet your specific requirements. REMEMBER: Customer defined dialog wage type codes must start with digit. The wage types that you create via the copy method are included in all of the wage type groups and tables as the original wage type from which you copied. You can use the log to check what was copied. Transaction for wage types coping is OH11 Basic step-by-step description how to create new wage type in SAP HR: 1. execute transaction OH11 2. choose 'Copy' option on Wage Type Maintenance pop-up window 3. on the left site, select existing wage type (model or already created customer one) which you would like to use as a copy 4. on the right site specify code for your new wage type (starting with digit) and give a description (long and short one) 5. mark the row with your wage type and choose 'Copy' button 6. check the results, if there is no errors return to previous screen, uncheck 'Test run' checkbox and choose 'Copy' button again - your new wage type has been created in the SAP HR 7. set Wage Type Characteristics using view V_T511 (transaction SM30) for your new wage type 8. set Wage Type Permissibility for infotypes using view V_T512Z (transaction SM30) - specify in which infotype your new wage type could be used If you specify infotypes 0014, 0015, 0267 or 2010 you can choose in this view if wage type can be created: - only once for a specific time, so gaps are permitted - several times for a specific time, so gaps are permitted 9. set all Wage Type Attributes using complete view of table T512W: V_512W_O, set appropriate: - Valuation bases - Processing clasess / specifications - Cumulations - Average bases - Evaluation classes / specifications 10. Set Permissibility of Wage Type for groupings using view V_511_B (transaction SM30) Your new wage type is now ready to be used.
